Imagine your Automated Home…

It's a dark, rainy evening and you're driving home from work. As you approach your home, you reach up and press your garage door opener. As the garage door opens, the outside lights come on, lighting up your driveway and front yard. The lights also go on in your garage, front enterance and hallway. You walk into a well-lit home and de-activate your security system.

Your home is warm since your heating activated long before you arrived. It's time to relax after a hard day - why not put on some music? From the colour touchscreen in your kitchen, you select the artist, song or playlist you want to listen to from your iPOD. You begin to relax and unwind. After dinner, you decide to see what happened in the world today. You walk over and sit down in your living room. You pick up your one and only remote control and press WATCH TV on its screen. You hear a series of clicks as your TV, Receiver, HD box all turn on and set to the correct input, while the lights in the room dim to an appropriate level. You smile as your system does everything you need in perfect simplicity.

Before long it's time for bed. As you enter your bedroom, you press GOODNIGHT on the touchscreen beside your bed. All room lights in your home turn off, hall lights fade to 10%, outdoor lights turn on, and your security system activates...
